Occasionally there sandwich choices get a little much in the daily specials. Boursin cheese and a dollop of roast beef don't quite cut it for $15. But their regular, have every day sandwiches are excellent. They're dependable and if they get something wrong no fix it right away. They couldn't be nicer people and that goes a long way. For those who care about it they have very good vegan choices. I personally and not the tiniest bit interested. But they seem to know their clientele and serve them well. Sandwiches are a little smaller than they were 25 years ago when they opened on a van fairly deserted West Broadway. But what's not smaller these days.

Cafe Clementine left its location on West Broadway and moved to Greenwich and Duane (read "moved much closer to me"). Clementine has been around for over 25 years, but this new location is bright and inviting, and is a much-needed addition as a lunch option in the area. Expect lines at lunchtime--the risk of being to close to Citibank's headquarters. The menu is updated daily on their web site (cafeclementine.com/specials/). They won't steer you the wrong way with their soup, salad and sandwich offerings. I had one of the best lentil soups just last week, and was left wondering -- when will it be back on the rotation as a menu item? For good or bad, you will have to live with not knowing what they have for the day until the morning of. All said, an excellent new edition of an old Tribeca favorite. If you like the surprise element of discovering their specials for the day, there is no better place in the neighborhood to get lunch. Or maybe a very early dinner.

Solid neighborhood eatery and sandwich shoppe. Fairly priced and I felt as though the food was solid. Only recommendation would be to get fresher bread.

Malibu Veg sandwich is one of the most delicious sandwiches I've ever had in Tribeca. So savory, yet so absolutely light

I'm so glad that Cafe Clementine reopened. I used to get the lemon Bundt cake all the time. It is truly amazing and much better than the Starbucks lemon icing cake, which tastes fake to me. I don't know why people think the Starbucks lemon cake is so great. Maybe they've never tasted the lemon pound cake at cafe clementine, which has real lemon flavor. I was disappointed to find out that they didn't bake enough lemon cake this week or I would have gone over there for cake today. I recall the salads and sandwiches here to be great too.

Cafe Clementine, which has been a cornerstone (where the old Cornerstone was at until 2017) has breathed new life to this beautiful location. Taken over by three employees who have been through the thick and thin with this business, they are reintroducing a newer version of the old Clementine with guidance from the previous owner. Expect daily specials like homemade soup, hearty sandwiches, their famous cookies (a bit pricey at $4.50 each) and simple yet fresh salads and sides for a light bite. The corner space is equipped with a counter and four chairs for eating on the spot. Staff is friendly and most important, everything is cooked with heart and dedication. Please continue to support a local business.
